No Joke, millions and millions of players want to be the next "big-time thing" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more famous "great guys" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tourney earnings amounted to more than four and a half million dollars and he won two immensely admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was chosen Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. He even still has the decency to speak with his admirers about how they might improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an educational video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his complete life earnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and between 2000 to Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in excess of 100 competitions. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad loss. As of 2006, his career winnings are almost six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has captured five WSOP titles with two of his successes happening in Two Thousand and Three. Has the alias "Jesus" due to his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to toss playing cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total poker tourney earnings exceeded five million dollars.
