Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the west in an awesome game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that players wager with other players. By competing against the dealer, beginning players do not need to be concerned about any other, more skillful players taking their $$$$.

A further Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game play, newcomers can take their time and strategize without having to make frenzied choices.

It’s also easier to gamble on for a long time with basically a little bit of cash since, to not win, both of your hands must be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards face up and the casino is given seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
