Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in a fantastic game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the croupier, unlike most other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more skillful people winning their $$$$.

A further Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game play, novices will be able to take their time and strategize without having to make hasty decisions.

It is also easier to play for a very long time with only a little amount of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer gets seven cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and a two card hand have to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
