Poker Aces refers to two aces being dealt pre-flop. It’s the strongest attainable pre-flop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But despite this a good many bettors end up on the wrong end when given this hand.

When you are given a pair of Aces, you just don’t fold before theflop. You are positioned with the best achievable hand at this stage of the game. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I’d say definitely no to that.

Always remember, you’re trying to earn as much money out of this strong position. You need to maximize the possibility. Going all-in will basically drive most individuals into dropping out before laying a bet.

If you’re in the starting position (1st or 2nd to place a bet), you will place a single bet. Any person with decent cards will call, with luck someone may raise. If there has been a raise don’t spring to re-raise or call, pause for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

Following the flop your strategy will be to get rid of any player that could get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise boldly, if you’re lucky you’ll trick 1 player into thinking that you are tricking.

If you’re in the middle or late position (near the last to place a bet) you will watch as everyone calls and then raise. Even with you sitting with a pair of aces, if you can try to avoid a show-down. Protect your hand by making the other players drop out following the flop. If you do not drive out your adversaries you risk squandering your hand.
